Telegram posting API

yeetpost posts to a Telegram channel or group with one HTTP call: POST the text to /api/v2/post/telegram with an API key. The post goes out through a bot you create with BotFather, and each chat the bot is in is one connection.

Post with curl

curl -X POST https://api.yeetpost.com/api/v2/post/telegram \
  -H "x-api-key: $YEETPOST_API_KEY" \
-d 'build 412 is live, changelog in the pinned message'

The body is the post. The slug in the path is your connection's slug; GET /api/v2/connections lists yours. For several connections, scheduling, drafts and idempotency use POST /api/v2/posts, see the posting guide.

Post from an agent over MCP

claude mcp add --transport http \
  --header 'Authorization: Bearer ${YEETPOST_API_KEY}' \
  yeetpost https://api.yeetpost.com/api/v2/mcp

# then ask Claude: post this to my Telegram channel

The hosted MCP server also accepts an OAuth login, so claude.ai can add it as a custom connector with no key. See MCP for agents.

Telegram limits

Text4,096 characters (1,024 when the post carries an image, because the text becomes the caption)
ImagesUp to 5 per post, png and jpeg only. Several images go out as one album
ThreadsYes, up to 24 replies under the head message
First commentNo
DeleteYes, within 48 hours of sending (the head message, its album and the replies)
Metrics read backNo, the Bot API reports nothing back

A post over a text limit is refused whole with 400 text_too_long and a field naming the part to shorten, before anything is sent.

Connecting Telegram

Create a bot with @BotFather, add it to your channel as an admin that can post (or to your group as a member), then paste the bot token in the yeetpost dashboard. The chat is detected for you.

Fees

Posting to Telegram is free. Billing is per connected account: the first 2 are free.

Posts are unlimited on every plan. See pricing.
