Ayrshare alternatives for developers in 2026

October 29, 2026

Developers look for an Ayrshare alternative for one of three reasons: the price per month, the per-profile pricing model, or a missing platform. This post compares four ways to post to social networks from code, using each vendor's own pricing page as of October 2026.

It is written by yeetpost, so read the yeetpost section with that in mind. Everything else is quoted from the vendor's page, and the links are there so you can check.

#What you are choosing between

The tools differ most in how they charge, so start there.

#Ayrshare

Ayrshare's pricing page lists plans by social profile, as of October 2026:

PlanMonthly priceSocial profiles
Premium$1491
Launch$299Up to 10
BusinessFrom $59930 included, up to 300
EnterpriseCustomFrom 300

Every plan includes API access and documentation, and the page says all plans include unlimited API calls and unlimited posts. Rate limits differ: Premium has standard limits, and the higher plans have expanded ones. A Max Pack add-on is $300 a month on Launch and Business. The Launch plan has a 28-day free trial.

The pricing model is a flat monthly fee for a block of profiles. That suits an agency with a steady number of clients. It is expensive for one developer who wants to post from two accounts.

#Zernio

Zernio's pricing page has no named plans, and pricing is per connected social account, graduated, as of October 2026:

Posts are unlimited and API access is included on every account. Messaging, ads, X API usage, phone numbers and similar services are metered separately. Ten accounts come to $48 a month on the page's own example.

#Postiz

Postiz's pricing page lists four plans by connected channels, as of October 2026:

PlanMonthlyAnnual, per monthChannels
Standard$29$235
Team$39$3110
Pro$49$3930
Ultimate$99$79100

The public API is on every plan, along with the MCP server, CLI and webhooks, and every plan has a 7-day free trial. Postiz can also be self-hosted. The page calls that a secondary option, with the hosted platform getting new features first. It links the open-source code on GitHub, so read the repository for the license terms before you build on it.

#yeetpost

yeetpost bills per active connected account, one with at least one successful send in the last 30 days, with a graduated price, from the pricing page:

There are no post quotas. X posts bill a flat per-post fee on top, passed through at X's own cost: 1.5 cents, or 20 cents with a link. Posting to every other platform is free. We wrote up the X side in X API pricing in 2026.

#The catch: platform coverage

yeetpost has six live platforms: LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Discord, Telegram and Mastodon. Others are built or planned, but only those six work today, so do not choose yeetpost for a network that is not on that list.

Check each vendor's current platform list against yours before comparing prices. A cheaper tool that lacks the one network you need is not cheaper. We have not verified the platform lists of the other three vendors here, so look at their pages.

#What to test before you commit

Pricing pages do not show the things that cost you a weekend. Test these with a free account or trial:

  1. Retries. Send the same request twice. Does the second one double-post? yeetpost takes an Idempotency-Key header on POST /posts and replays the stored result for 24 hours.
  2. Failures per platform. If you post to three networks and one rejects the text, do the other two still go out? In yeetpost the response has one item per connection, and a failure is a failed item, not a failed request.
  3. Dry runs. Can you validate a post without sending it? yeetpost has validateOnly: true, and a sandbox connection plus yp_test_ keys for CI so tests do not post to real accounts.
  4. Text limits. Does it check your text against the platform limit before sending, or hand you the platform's raw error? yeetpost refuses early with text_too_long and a field naming the part to shorten.
  5. Scoped keys. If you post for customers, can a key be limited to one customer? yeetpost has profiles, one per end customer, and keys scoped to a profile.
  6. Delete. Can you take a post down from the API?

A minimal test of retries and per-platform results:

curl -X POST https://api.yeetpost.com/api/v2/posts \
  -H "x-api-key: $YEETPOST_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: ayrshare-eval-1" \
  -d '{
    "text": "testing a posting API",
    "connectionSlugs": ["sandbox", "bluesky"],
    "validateOnly": true
  }'

Run it twice and compare the answers.

#Who should pick what

The docs have the full yeetpost API, and the pricing page has the calculator.
